Today we scheduled to film our remaining parts for our opening sequence, we planned to get Ellouise to play Jessica and film at Kirstie's house. So today we went to media to get the Camera and tripod, we all then headed to Kirstie's house where we could then start to film the parts of the opening sequence which we haven't filmed yet. We had to film all of Jessica's parts, Jessica's parts goes as follows, Jessica has to wake up for work and calmly gets herself dressed, she then has to leave for work in her car where she will then get to her work as she works in an office.
We then headed off to Kirstie's house with the equipment we need, we also had a copy of the screen play, shot list and storyboard. We took all these because it will help us know what type of camera angles and shots we would like to achieve we filming. We then got to Kirstie's house where then we had to paln which rooms we will use and what we would like Ellouise to do when we start to film. We had to look at our plans so that we could see what order would be best for us to film.
We first needed the shots which Ellouise wakes up and gets out of bed and sorts out her clothes for work she isn't rushing because she has plenty of time to get to work. To do the shot of her waking up we had to get in the corner of the room so that we could get a good angle of Ellouise waking up, it took us a few times to get this shot right but in the end it worked and we was happy with how it looked. Then we needed the shot of her getting her clothes for work, we then saw that the wardrobe was big and people could go inside it so then we decided to get Kirstie to squash up at the back and film Ellouise getting her clothes. I then filmed Ellouise closing the wardrobe so then we could cut these two clips together so it looks like one shot.
Now we needed to film the shots of Ellouise after she had got dressed into her work clothes we needed to film her closing the door not wearing her work clothes but then opening the door all dressed up for work. This shot i filmed and i had to make sure that the camers didn't move whilst she was getting dressed as it would not look as effective and hopefully once we edit it together it looks as good as it could look because otherwise it may not look professional as it might jump up a bit but i tried to avoid this when i was filming this section. We then needed the shot of Ellouise going down the stairs and leaving out the door after we had filmed all of the shots inside we then had to film the parts outside. We had to film Ellouise walking to the car and getting in ready to drive.
Then we had finnished all the filming for Jessica's part and we already have filmed the section of Jessica, so that means we have completely finnished filming for now. However after editing we may find that we need to refilm a certain part but as of now we are certain that we have successfully filmed everything that we planned. All that we have to do now is finnish editing, as now we need to make sure we make our opening sequence meet the two minute maximum and add titles to make it look as professional as possible.
My overall refection of the filming we have done so far is that, it was a lot easyier to do because we learnt that by making an effective storyboard and planning what we will film before hand will help us a lot when filming. Because when we done our prelim we didn't plan as effectivley so this time we made sure that had our planning done in detail. I am happy with how are opening sequence is shaping up because it is starting to get the features of a Romantic Comedy. There have been a few mistakes for far for example when filming the alarm clock we didn't get it organised enough so that the alarm and the clock went at the same time, for this i learnt that for next time we should plan the little details which could go wrong because it can save us time in the long run.
