Company Logo Research

I have been doing some research on company logos because i want to make a simple logo for our company. This logo may not be used on the opening sequence because we simply may just have not enough time so i have decided to research and create my own just in case we do get enough time to include the logo so here are some logos i have seen online:

Here is a very famous company logo Paramount which produce a lot of big films and are recognised globally as a big film production company i look at this logo and i like it because it tells us the name of the company. Also it has a photograph of some mountains behind it, this is good because the writing looks as if it links with the picture of the mountains because the stars stop when it reaches the mountain. I like this logo and will consider the design when making my own i intend not to use a photograph behind the text because it could take a really good photo to look professional so i will use a plain background. But this logo is very easily rememberable because it isn't too complicated and is rather simple, simple is good because people tend to remember it. Also the last part of the name Para-mount is like the word mount-tain so it makes sense why the mountains are their. This is something i should take into consideration, because the name of the company usually has something to do with what is also around the logo.

Here is another film productions logo and like the Paramount logo the name links with the picture because we see film style strips which you connote to the cinema so that links to the name of the company. This is another big production company, the logo is very simple and plain which is what i want to do when i make my film logo i want it to have a simple feel that can easily be remembered by people. Also i like the text in this logo as it is white and readable, i want this to be like my logo i want to use a very readable font with an appropriate colour that contrasts with the background. There are only three main colours in this logo because they want it to be simple and if they used to many colours then it would look unprofessional which is what i want to avoid when making my own.

This is another big production company, this is similar to the design i have in my head for my company logo because it has simple colours and the words are the main part of the screen. Just like the others it looks very professional because of how simple it looks and uses minimal colours so people will not find it too overpowering to look at. After looking at this it has given me a better idea of what i am going to make our production company logo look like.


Our company name is Centre Stage Productions, and the logo I would like to make goes as follows; i would like to have a black or red background. I then want white text saying the name of our company which is Centre Stage Productions. My idea it to make it look like a spot light is shinning down onto the words revealing what they say but I'm not sure if i will be able to find a tool to do it on Photoshop. But hopefully i can because can because then it will look how i want it to look in my head i will just have to wait and see once i have made it.
