Blog Update: 19/01/2012

This is a video which we made so that we are able to see what we need to do for this lesson it also gives us a chance to reflect as a group on what we have to do. And so after we can evaluate if we have done what we intended to and and then we can know what we have left to do.


We started to think about our titles and how we could put them into our opening sequence, we then thought about how they will be presented on our opening sequence. So we knew that we had to start our opening sequence with a black screen that fades in. To do this we had to look at effects that we could use we then found the fade in effect so we tried putting it at the beginning of our opening sequence. We tested it to see if it looks good and we was very please because it is very fast but takes away the sharp start at the beginning into a smooth transition. Below is the screenshot to show the transition:

We then started to draw how we could make the titles look and then we was thinking about the fonts we could use. So Becky drew a quick sketch with the ideas we had down on a peice of paper. Our idea was to have the 'Two' in a fancy posh font and to have the 'GAME' in different colours or in toy blocks. We think this would be good because it will also show the difference between the Jessica (business woman) and Ellie (art teacher). We would aslo like to think about how the title will appear on the screen and we think we will have this section at the end of our opening sequence. Below is us trying out the different effects in LiveType, we tried out different fonts, colours and effects. We did this just to give us a brief idea on how to use LiveType and so that we have knowledge of how to use it when we come to make our actual titles.

Now after the lesson we did not manage to get Lucy to do voice overs because she was busy and could not come in. So now we have to find a more appropriate time to do the voice overs so that we all are involved.
 We also got some more of our clips to corrispond with the beat just liked we wanted to at the beginning of the lesson. We also tried out LiveType for the first time so that we could try out some title ideas that we have.
